  • Account Information: Email address, name, and securely authenticated tokens (via Google or Apple).
  • Location Data: GPS coordinates and speed. This is collected reliably in the background when auto-tracking is enabled.
  • Physical Activity Data: Motion data to determine when you are driving, walking, or stationary.
  • Vehicle Data: Odometer readings, vehicle profiles, and custom tracking rules you set.

2. How We Use Location Data

Because WheelLog's core functionality is automated mileage tracking, background location access is strictly required. We use this data exclusively to:

  • Detect when you start and stop driving.
  • Calculate exact mileage and routes for business compliance and tax reports.

3. How We Use Physical Activity Data

WheelLog requests access to your physical activity (motion) data. We collect and use this data exclusively to:

  • Optimize our auto-tracking by accurately detecting when you start and stop driving.
  • Preserve your device battery by pausing continuous GPS updates when you are stationary or walking.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on our encrypted servers. We implement robust, industry-standard security measures to prevent unauthorized access. You can generate PDF/Excel reports and manage your data directly within the app.

5. Account Deletion

You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This can be done directly from the Settings menu within the WheelLog app. Once confirmed, your location data, trips, and vehicle profiles are permanently erased from our systems within 24 hours.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
